Day 1 (Arrival and overnight in New Orleans)

With the sounds of live jazz and the spicy smells of fresh Cajun and Creole cuisine flow through the air around every corner, New Orleans is a melting pot of cultures and boasts some of the most beautiful architectural styles you could find in one place. Explore the historic streets in the famed French Quarter, or admire the beauty of nature as you stroll around the stunning Garden District and City Park. Don’t miss out on visiting popular attractions such as the National WWII Museum, Audubon Zoological Gardens or Jackson Square, frequented by fortune tellers and street performers.

Following your first night stay in New Orleans, your Voyage Check-in opens at 9am (until midday) giving you the opportunity to ask any question you may have about the cruise and arrange your transfers to the vessel for later that day. Enjoy the afternoon exploring more of what New Orleans has to offer before boarding your complimentary boat transfers to the American Queen. Once on-board wave goodbye to the Big Easy as you set sail on an incredible adventure up the Mighty Mississippi!

Day 2: American Queen - New Orleans, LA

Day 3: American Queen - Nottoway, LA

Your first point of call will be Nottoway - the South’s largest remaining Antebellum mansion which holds a rich history dating back to 1859. Over looking the great Mississippi River, you will enjoy a tour of the 'White Castle' which transport you back an era of grandeur and glory. This stunning historical plantation captures a blend of true Southern hospitality, history and mystery.

Day 3: American Queen - Nottoway, LA

Day 4: American Queen - St. Francisville, LA

Located on the foundations of an old 1790’s settlement, Bayou Sara, St. Francisville is known as the oldest town in the Florida Parishes. When the original settlement was destroyed by fires and floods, many of its artefacts were hauled up the bluff which is where they can still be seen today. Known locally as “two miles long and two yards wide”, this town is filled with boutique shops, beautiful parklands and historic homes, and Spanish moss trees grow throughout the town, lending its beautiful southern comfort to the atmosphere.
