If you are arriving in Hua Hin via train, be sure to take in Hua Hin railway station, which is one of the oldest in Thailand. The Royal Waiting Room was used to welcome Thai royalty when they began using Hua Hin as a summer retreat in the 1920s. The Huay Mongkol temple is a must-see on any trip into the Hua Hin hills, as is the royal palace of Klai Kangwon, although it is only open when the royal family is not in residence. You can see huge statues of past kings at Ratchapak Park.
