Holidays to Ibiza

The third-largest of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea, Ibiza is less than 100 miles from the coast of Spain and has long been famed for its vibrant nightlife and party atmosphere, as well as its long stretches of warm sand. However, while destinations such as San Antonio and Ibiza Town continue to dazzle, there is so much more to Ibiza than meets the eye, including quiet, uninhabited sandy coves, peaceful, forested hills ideal for exploring and traditional villages untouched by tourism; this is your Ibiza. Gazing out over the rolling waves of the Mediterranean Sea you will realise how beautiful and calm the White Island can be. Ibiza offers hospitality in abundance, as well as opportunities to participate in a variety of activities; water sports, hiking, bicycling and so much more can be enjoyed on Ibiza's shores, while adventure and luxury lies around every rocky outcrop. Please note that a compulsory Eco Tax of €1 plus 10% VAT per person, per night will be payable directly to the hotel upon arrival

Ibiza Activities

Ibiza is, rightfully, most famous for its pristine beaches (from peaceful inlets to buzzing beach parties) and its nightlife, where partying til dawn to some of the best known DJs is the norm, but there is so much more to do on the island. Get on saddle – either bike or horse – and explore Ibiza’s inland with its quaint farmhouses and beautiful scenery. Take to the sea and get involved in some adrenaline-fuelled watersports or go diving as the clear water and temperatures of up to 26 degrees offer excellent conditions.

Ibiza Food & Drink

For something typical to this Balearic Island fresh fish is a must in the form of zarzuela a local fish stew, or for meat lovers try sofrit pages a hearty stew made from lamb, pork, chicken, potatoes and, another local specialty, locally produced sausages. For your sweet tooth don’t miss flao – cheesecake flavoured with mint, aniseed and honey. Ibiza produces its own wine and try Hierbas Ibicenas an aniseed based drink with herbs, thought to be good for the digestion.

Ibiza Attractions

The island’s capital, Ibiza Town Eivissa is a real gem with a pretty harbour, old churches, a couple of museums, numerous cafes and an ancient fortress Dalt Vila which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site so is definitely worth a day spent wandering the pretty streets. For something a bit different visit the salt fields – ideal for that perfect sunset shot. Or a little further afield, take a visit to the neighbouring island of Formentera and enjoy the spectacular beaches.
