With a multitude of stunning beaches, Khao Lak is a great place to try your hand at watersports including kayaking, windsurfing and sailing. Snorkelling and diving is excellent here, particularly around the Similan and Surin Islands set within a protected marine park If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, you could trek through Khao Lak National Park or enjoy one of the local golf courses. Many resorts offer bike hire, allowing you to see more of the local area on two wheels and for a reasonable price. However, for those who want nothing but R&R, Khao Lak holidays are a perfect choice. Head to one of the sandy, yet uncrowded, beaches such as Owtang Beach, where you'll be guaranteed gorgeous sands, as well as peace and quiet.
