Prescription Medicines?

For any prescribed medicines which need to be brought by the traveler to UAE for personal consumption, you traveler should have in your possession the following documents (in English or Arabic):

A valid medical prescription. If the original prescription is retained in the pharmacy that dispensed the preparation, the traveler should keep an attested copy of the prescription

Authenticated certificate and/or permit, from the health authority of the country of departure, UAE Embassy from the country of origin or Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirming your legal authority to possess, for personal use, the listed medical prescriptions 

It is important to note that the amount of medicine should not exceed a period of 30 days or the duration of your stay in the UAE, whichever comes first.

Travelers planning to arrive into the UAE with prescription medicines must apply online for clearance from the UAE Government site ,  the application should only be filled by the person travelling with narcotics, psychotropic and controlled medicines (list of the medicines under these categories can on the UAE Government site). Failure to declare any prescription medicines could result in boarding being denied or imprisonment on arrival.
