    About Tanjong Jara Resort

    The 5 star Tanjong Jara Resort in Malaysia set over 42 acres facing a crescent-shaped stretch of golden beach and the South China Sea and is 8km from the coastal town of Dungun. The location provides plenty of cultural experiences to enjoy, including morning trips to the local market and cooking classes and turtle-watching experiences between May and September. Unwind at the Spa Village Tanjong Jara, which embraces the philosophy of Sucimurni, placing an emphasis on health, well being, and purity of spirit. Choose from a range of room types, all traditionally decorated and luxurious, some with sea views. The resort is located around an hour from Kuala Terengganu Airport. 


    Dining:
  • Di Atas Sungei: Malay for 'above the river', the restaurant sits above the river. There is no dinner menu, instead guests by the resort's Menu Masters. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, and serves authentic Malaysian cuisine.
  • Nelayan: Malay for 'fisherman', this al fresco restaurant focuses on seafood within a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Guests can choose to sit indoors or on the terrace.
  • Teratai Terrace: is located beside the free-form pool, serving local desserts, grilled and rice dishes for lunch. Dinner serves steamboat or Korean barbecue, and a selection of wines and cocktails.
    • Guests can also enjoy outdoor movie screenings under the stars.
  • Private Dining: dine on the beach, on the rocks or in your own private gazebo under a canopy of stars.

    Services and Facilities:
  • Spa Village Tanjong Jara: is a complex of structures, gardens and ponds, housing a state-of-the-art gym, and a spa therapy centre.
  • Tennis Courts: two tennis courts, open daily (no charge). Rackets are available for hire and balls may be purchased at the Spa Village reception.
  • Gift Shop and Boutique: located behind the reception area, the shop sells local handicrafts, Kelantan Silverware, Batik and toiletries.
  • Pools: there are two swimming pools - a free-form pool near the lobby, and another next to the beach. Each pool has towels, sun loungers and refreshments served at the pool deck.
  • Water Sports Centre: offers non-motorised water activities, including snorkelling and diving around Pulau Tenggol Island (March - October). The resort’s expert guides, dive master and PADI dive instructor accompany each trip.
