There are just nine cabins at Vahine Island Resort, with three room types to choose from. Each Beach Bungalow, Overwater Bungalow and Beach Suite flaunts beautifully woven bedspreads featuring vanilla-laced covers, a nod to Taha’a Island’s local plant, and charming wicker wardrobes. Those looking for a hammock to read their book and the smallest possible walk to the white sands should opt for the Beach Bungalow, or choose one of the sumptuous Overwater Bungalows for a quintessential South Pacific experience: living above the water.

The Beach Bungalows may be the entry-level room category at Vahine Island Tahaa, but they are by no means insignificant. Perfect for two, these bungalows have incredible views of the lagoon and Bora Bora from a spacious private deck. Guests will enjoy a king size bed (twins on request), an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, TV, mini bar and a tea and coffee making station. Molton Brown amenities are the cherry on top.

The Beach Suites are perfect for a family of three and are decked out in traditional Polynesian design. The perks of staying here? You'll enjoy access to your own private stretch of beach and two spacious decks - one with a hammock overlooking the lagoon and another with a view of the coconut groves. The Overwater Bungalows are the pride and joy of Vahine Island Tahaa. Sleeping two, these romantic bungalows are perfect for honeymooners and couples getting away from it all.     Dining

    Half secluded under traditional wooden roofs, half open-air amidst coconut palms and beach, the onsite restaurant is welcoming and relaxed, just as such a setting should demand! A mix of local, French and Mediterranean dishes fill a seasonal menu of surprisingly fine cuisine and fusion flavours, given the hotel’s remote location. The atmosphere here - and in the late-night bar - is laidback, informal and homely, with live music only adding to proceedings each evening.
