More Travel Information

As a Caribbean destination, Grenada is not short on beaches to sunbath on, warm waters to snorkel and scuba dive in or nature trails to hike along. For something different, go on a rum tasting at the River Antoine Rum Distillery or book a guided tour at one of the island's many spice plantations.
Nutmeg, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and cocoa are all produced in Grenada, which means that the island's local fare is unsurprisingly spicy. Fresh fruit and vegetables are also prominent, as is seafood. For a true taste of Grenadian cuisine, make a point to dine on the island's national dish, oil down, a meat or fish-based coconut stew. And for dessert, order a scoop (or two) of nutmeg ice cream, another local delight.
Keep busy in Grenada with a number of “must do's”. Explore the world's first underwater sculpture park, the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park, a short boat ride from St. George's. Visitors can enjoy the collection by snorkelling, scuba diving or aboard a glass bottomed boat. If you prefer to stay on land, hike through the rainforest and spice plantations to the Seven Sisters Falls or spend a day walking around St. George's, exploring the island's culture and history.
