Flights are available from Manchester, Glasgow, and London to Barbados.

American Airlines, Jet Blue and United also fly in-direct to Barbados via the United States, which allow the option of spending some nights in New York or Miami before Jetting to Barbados.

There are also daily inter-Caribbean flights that are operated for the purpose of island hopping and experiencing more than one Island on your holiday.

The Dry Season is between November and April when the temperatures are cooler, and less rain is expected.

The Wet season is between May – October when the days are likely to be warmer and when rainfall is expected to be higher. The rainfall could last seconds or minutes.

A cornmeal dish called cou-cou – which is often compared to polenta – is a must-try. Often served with fresh flying fish and plenty of rich gravy, it’s a hearty dish that’s perfect after a day of watersports and exploration. Enjoy everything from seafood salads and fishcakes to sweet bread and polenta fries for lunch, all of which will have you craving more. Macaroni pie is another popular dish on the island. It's essentially a creamy and delicious version of your typical mac and cheese but with the unusual addition of mustard or ketchup to add flavour and colour.

See another, more magical side of nature with a visit to Harrison’s Cave. Located in the heart of Barbados, this limestone cave looks like another world. The crystallised rock formations are vast and breathtaking, leading to incredible waterfalls. Featuring flowing streams and towering columns of natural limestone, you can explore this magical cave via tram and foot. We also recommend a trip to Hunte’s Garden, where you can see some of the most incredible exotic plants. Made to look like a tropical Caribbean forest, it truly is a haven of vibrant flora.
